Heatherdale Appoints Two New Directors
|September 25, 2012, Vancouver, BC -- Heatherdale Resources Ltd. ("Heatherdale" or the "Company") (TSX Venture: HTR) announces that further to a private placement financing described in a news release on July 9 2012, two representatives of Rathdowney Resources Ltd. ("Rathdowney") have been appointed to Heatherdale's board of directors, effective September 25 2012. |
John Barry is President and CEO of Rathdowney. Mr Barry is an economic geologist who holds a Master's Degree in Geology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Edinburgh School of Business, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. He has worked in the exploration and mining industry since 1988 and has consulted on a range of major gold and base metal deposits in Europe, Africa, Australia, South America and Southeast Asia. He is a director of Sovereign Mines of Africa plc, a junior gold exploration company listed on the AIM market in London and non-executive Chairman of Orogen Gold Limited, an AIM-listed gold exploration company focused on Serbia.
David Furlong is General Manager, Projects, for Rathdowney. Mr. Furlong is a certified geologist with an Honours degree in Exploration and Mining Geology from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and over 15 years international experience, principally in gold, base metal and diamond exploration and production. His background includes the design, implementation and management of mineral exploration programs in countries as diverse as Ireland, Angola, Ghana, Finland, and Australia. He also has significant operational experience having spent a number of years as mine geologist at the 100,000 oz per annum Wassa Gold Mine in Ghana.
